Jarod is the Principal of Sechrest & Bloom, LLC and manages the firm’s tax and wealth management practice. He takes an educational and guiding approach with clients to help them achieve their tax, financial, and life planning goals.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial services and wealth management industries, Jarod specializes in tax planning and tax return preparation for individuals, businesses, and trusts & estates, including providing accounting and outsourced CFO services. He believes good communication and a hands-on approach are fundamental to helping clients secure their financial future and achieve their goals.
Prior to joining Sechrest & Bloom in 2005, Jarod was the Vice President of Financial Planning at a wealth management firm in Concord, MA. He began his career in the audit and tax departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (now PwC) in Boston, MA.
Jarod has been a guest financial columnist for Medical Economics magazine, appeared as a financial analyst on Fox-TV, and co-authored a chapter in "Inside the Minds", a wealth management book.
A resident of Acton, MA, Jarod was a Big Brother with the Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay. He has served as President of the Acton-Boxborough, MA chapter of Rotary International, and is active with the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Jarod served on the Board of Directors of Discovery Museum in Acton, MA and was a founding member of the Acton Colonials BNI chapter.
Jarod is a professional swing dancer who has taught, competed, and performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
