Upcoming Client Event - International Travel Risk Management and Planning

We're hosting our next Client Event on the subject of International Travel Risk Management and Planning on Thursday, October 27th from 6:30PM - 8:15PM.  

We're pleased to have Ryan Wildes from Partners HealthCare be our Speaker. Ryan is Jarod's neighbor and Jarod has heard Ryan speak about the challenges he manages for all of Partners' personnel and their international travel planning. As you'll see in Ryan's bio below, he's a terrific resource for us to learn about how to plan for your family's and your international travel planning.

RBT Conference Center, which is in our office building (526 Main Street, Acton, MA 01720).

Enter in the front door of our building and go up 1 flight of stairs (or take the elevator to the 2nd Floor) to the Center.  Or else park around the back of the building and the room is right there when you walk in.

Ryan Wildes' bio
Ryan Wildes is the Manager of International Risk Management at Partners HealthCare working with travelers, departments, and international programs on travel risk management, insurance and related operational issues including health, safety, and security matters. He has more than 15 years experience in international health and development work including programmatic and operational experience in a number of countries. Beginning February 2012, Ryan led the creation and implementation of a system-wide approach at Partners for travel risk management, traveler education, organizational emergency response, as well as overall support and advice to international and global health activities and programs. He's also a team member with MGH Center for Global Health, Global Disaster Response.

Ryan currently serves on the executive committee of the Middle East and North Africa Regional Council, a public and private collaboration as part of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), U.S. Department of State. He's an active member of the professional security organization, ASIS International and a member of New England Analysts' Roundtable, a private intelligence analysts networking group. 

Ryan worked for nearly a decade with Harvard Medical International (HMI), Harvard Medical School, which became Partners HMI in April 2008, gaining program and operational experience in Libya, Italy, Greece, Dominican Republic, India, and Zimbabwe.  

Before joining HMI, Ryan worked in Kosovo for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on election preparations, and he's been part of OSCE election monitoring missions to Macedonia, Ukraine, and Belarus. He's also served as country manager overseeing community development projects for a U.S. based non-profit in Quito, Ecuador.
