Fear in the media and the last year's stock market performance
Weston (Wes) Wellington, Vice President at Dimensional Funds, likes to keep track of assorted predictions in the media about the economy and the markets, and then see how these efforts compared with the actual performance of the markets.
Below is an article Wes recently wrote about this exercise for the past 12 months. We thought this might be a helpful reinforcement (or else just an interesting article) for you when you hear the frequent drumbeat of negativity about the economy, the markets, and the world in the media.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this, and thank you again for having us be your financial advisor!
“Great investment advice, like their flat fee for wealth management planning work … it makes it easy for us”
“Very comfortable working with them … flat fee, no commission … work with our risk tolerance level”
“Always available to review and adjust strategies”
“On the wealth management side, they counsel me and are intellectually driven, conservative, and disciplined”
