Shift to electronic methods for tax refunds and payments
I wanted to bring to your attention to an Executive Order signed by the President earlier this year. Beginning Sept. 30, 2025, the Federal government has been requested to stop issuing paper checks for tax refunds and other Federal payments. It is also noted that as soon as feasible, all payments made to the government (which would include tax payments) should be processed electronically.
Please review the following highlights and recommended action items:
• More information is needed about the details on this mandate, including how exceptions will be handled and processed.
• Confirm your bank account information to us in a secure manner.
• Consider options available for making electronic payments to the IRS to ease the transition once that deadline is announced.
Please keep this in mind for making your remaining 2025 quarterly estimates and for us preparing your 2025 tax returns. If we have your bank account information on file in our tax software, this information will be listed in our Tax Organizer we send to you to confirm. If that information needs to change, please let us know. If we don't have your bank account information on file, we'd suggest you get this to us as soon as possible or else when providing us with your 2025 tax information during our upcoming Tax Season.
